RE: How to attest Steem account on Byteball without asking the fee from someone?

in #byteball6 years ago

I have 5 lucky 16c that really aren't doing to much and two newer models, The luckys seem to have a 1.2 ghz dual core. I installed the app on one of the luckys to test the waters. I am not sure how much of the cpu gets eaten up by the OS, but it easily could be a lot better than what they are doing now. If I ever get the statistics I'll update.

I don't like that the android app wanted the screen off; I would like to know if the wifi dc'd.

Cool, definitely let me know when you get stats for full day (WCG counts a points twice a day based on UTC, Byteball does payouts randomly), it would be interesting to know.

I am not sure what I am doing wrong with my lg lucky, no stats appear. I'll try a different phone maybe in the morning.

I haven't tried to get WCG working on a phone, what does the WCG results page say? Some researchers wait for some other device result too and then give points, until then it says pending.

I figured out what was going on.

Originally the project I signed up for (cancer markers) on my pc-cancer markers didn't work on the android. Yesterday I expanded it to childhood cancers, and a bunch of math ones. Apparently there were only 3 projects available that recorded any progress for the old phone (childhood cancer wasn't one of them), as I found out after I force quit and reloaded the boinc software and it showed the progress. They were only about 15% done with each of the 3 projects. So the device having never completed a full task, didn't have anything to report on the main website.

Yeah, the task need to be fully completed, also watch out for some projects who give very big tasks and very short deadlines because they can abort your work if you don't complete it by the deadline.

I think "Microbiome Immunity Project" and "FightAIDS@Home - Phase 2" become valid and awarded with points right away after they are reported, but "FightAIDS@Home - Phase 2" tasks take longer time to complete and are with very short deadline.

Took a while o figure out, but not everything on the boinc app is related to the world community grid project. So I was completing things on boinc but wasn't recieving created for wcg. After more digging, I found out the luckys wouldn't work on the wcg as they didn't have enough physical RAM.
I just installed it on a $10 Alcatel pixi avion and that is working, though at this point i am only 1-2% done 4 tasks.

Under preferences there is an option to keep the program running while the screen is on, and to use all the processors. By default, the settings only use half the processors. A new thread of a project works for each processor-thus there are four instances of the same project running on my phone. But the program suspends automatically when the battery gets too hot.

less than 1000 points a day on the avion.
