Putu cake is a market snack made from coarse grains of rice flour, with Java sugar and grated coconut. This cake is steamed by being placed in a slightly compacted bamboo tube.
cooked on top of a steamer whose upper portion there is a hole used to drain steam on a cake. It is this hole that can produce a loud voice and is used to recognize the arrival of the traders who sell their cakes wagons with carts and specialty stalls.
When it matures, the seller will push the cake out of the bamboo. And served with a sprinkling of fresh grated coconut. Yummy, warm and delicious!
However, as time went by, the existence of the traders of putu cakes began to be marginalized. In fact, it is very rare.
here is the Putu Bamboo Recipe:
~ 400 Gram of Rice Flour
~ 300 ml Water
~ 3 Pandan Leaf Sheets
~ 1/2 Salt Spoon
~ 125 Gram Sugar Melaka that has been ranged
~ 125 Grams of Grated Coconut
Tutorial to make Putu Bamboo:
1.boil water mixed with salt and pandan leaves until boiling, if it is raised and let it warm
- Put the rice flour into a trace, then input the pandanus water little by little while stirring until evenly distributed
