So Canadians are getting prepped this weekend to celebrate our 150 years as a nation.
However the country isn't united in their cheers. The federal government is still over reaching, and ignoring native treaties and our native peoples aren't digging the celebrations.
So we have seen natives set up a teepee on parliament hill,a sign to our dear Zionist supporting, apartheid ignoring leader.
Canada has done its best in its attempts to crush all things aboriginal. From residential schools where incredible numbers of children were sexually abused for years, which has cost the Canadian taxpayers tens of millions of dollars in payments to the abused.
However today our PM tries to gloss over the thousands of federal abuses with public relations photo ops and lots of well written speeches however he won't go so far as to mention reconciliation and respect for the treaties signed and agreed to so long ago.
These people have been abused since the settlers arrived, then that abuse what systemized and today the Feds put lipstick on yet once the cameras drive away they keep putting the screws to them.
Thankfully here in Canada we get great beer, even better rye and can party like none of it matters.
Until the natives say enough and we get another Oka standoff.
Drink up.
