Here is the last post when I reminded everyone to stop and smell the flowers.
And now...
Examining the differences in the strains...
It took me a minute to decide which photo to take the lead photo spot
But I feel like I settled on this one: A weird and exotic beauty of a cannabis plant.
I have been calling this one "SS Georgie"
Because for the lonest time this creepy-looking creature just wouldn't die. Also there used to be a neighborhood cat that would hang out in the yard. Now I never see it. I wonder if... no way.
Alot of stress in it's early life, most of the leaves were deformed looking.
It was the first one to begin flowering and has been covered in trichomes for a good long while. It was this visit with the plant that I noticed under the magnifying glass that they are finally starting to turn amber. I definitely want to try to keep this one going so I hope my little clone I pulled from this one will grow up healthy so I can get even more of this sparkly little punk rocker of a plant. The seed was from a Strawberry Cough bud, so this may be a Sativa. I can't wait to try it out.
SS Georgie will be one of the first to be harvested and dried.
The clone will continue to get love and care and when it is big enough I will pull more clones from it. If Georgie is as good as it smells... oh man.
The other plant from the "Fish Tank Gang" that ended up in a small pot is this one, I call Pippi Longstocking.
Today I actually freed her from the yarn ties. This one too had deformed leaves in the beginning, and at some point I cropped the top and ended up with this appearance when I tied it down.
OMG Look at Veruca Salt!
Space Pants is nugging up nicely.
She too had her yarns removed as well and will be harvested somewhere in the middle of the order.
I am Groot
Aside from the clones, Groot is the least developed flower of the bunch. It started flowering later than the others, so this may be the last one to be harvested to give it more time.
This clone of Veruca Salt has also come a long way and looks like it will actually even give me some decent buds with the Fish Tank Gang.
Here are the rest of the 2nd generation. (clones)
From left to right, clones of Space Pants, I am Groot & SS Georgie.
Now I am just going to post the rest of the garden shots. I took some nice shots when the sun was at just the right place in the sky.
IN OTHER GARDEN NEWS...
The peppers... I think I'm gonna pick one and see what's up...
The rescued succulent cuttings are starting to perk up in the soil/sand mix. I give them a little water here and there and plenty of sun.
This little guy popped up (landed from the sky actually) in the yard and started going on loudly about something. I thought he was pretty so I tried to get a good shot. Then he ran off (flew away back into the sky).
That's all for now!
See the first part of this growing season and the weird journey these plants have taken from seed till now.
PART ONE
THE LAST ONE BEFORE THIS
I make art and I grow things. I'll leave it up to you as to which of the two I am better at.
Awesome photos - with the macro lens too - the gardens are looking nice :)
thanks, that little lens comes in handy. :-)
Sooooooon!
You've learned lots, and produced something, so it was a success. Keep building on that. Gardening is the best.
I am eager to start again on some peppers. I just tasted one of those peppers and it was sufficiently hot but also had a nice flavor too.
Groot has an impressive bud structure! Space Pants and Veruca Salt ar pretty impressive also!
I'm sorry that I missed your comment! Thanks for comments, I shall pass them onto the plants. :-)
