Obviously, the brain washing about the horrors of marijuana has affected many people. If people were aware of the many positive benefits of marijuana, the big money drug companies would not be happy. Lost profits, don't ya know. I don't like that the state has control of the marijuana process. But one step at a time I guess.

The company that makes fentanyl put up about $500,000 in AZ to oppose cannabis legalization last year. There is big money to be lost, and at the same time we are in the middle of an opiod epidemic. We are seeing states with legalized cannabis, medical or recreational, having much lower rates of opiod problems.
At the moment the states are the first line of defense against the federal government's policies that are outdated and out of step with the majority of the nation. People like Jeff Sessions propagate lies and fear to keep people thinking that cannabis is a really bad thing, "Only slightly less dangerous than heroin", as he has said. They ignore research, and I believe they have ulterior motives to keeping prohibition in place (maybe Session's stake in private prisons). When the government owns the patent on CBDs as medicine, then continues to keep it illegal, you know something isn't right.
