This is one of these buds I really hate to part with, but now I have probably around 2 gs of it left, and it's not like I'm expecting more to fill my stash jars any minute. It's a wonderful Mexican sativa, that blows most hazes out of the water with great high it delivers
It's distributed by CannaBiogen, one of the last boutique seed banks specialised in heirloom strains, run by the great Charlie Garcia, who's a breeder and cannabis connoisseur standing behind most of Spanish strains developed from pure landrace stock.
Did you ever hear about purple Pakistan Chitral Kush, that's now everywhere, including Cali? Well, he's the man who brought this strain to Spain, and passed around the purple cut, that became the mother of many coveted hybrids! But he's mostly a sativa guy, who likes rare Mexican and Colombian cultivars.
One of these came to him from Sinaloa, where it's been grown for at least a few decades and prized for relatively short flowering time, good yield, great citrus aroma, and fantastic, euphoric high!
Bag appeal is practically non-existent in comparison with modern hybrids, so forget about hard nuggets full of trichomes. Once you trim these buds, they're quite leafy and rather airy with long, reddish pistils. You can squeeze them and they'll be relatively sticky, but still very far from Gorilla Glue or OG kind of buds.
The truth is you won't find them in any dispensary near you or on the corner of your street. The truth is you won't even get them online, and you can go asking around, and you still won't find them... cause almost nobody grows landrace sativas these days.
It's a luxury deserved for the most curious and most demanding growers, that are not afraid of October/November harvests or waiting 12+ weeks indoor.
However, the produce you get in the end puts to shame 95% of buds sold as sativas these days. It's not very potent, so you should smoke at least half a joint, but once high starts creeping in, your face muscles loosen up and you can't help, but smile.
Soon you get hit with quiet euphoria and uplifted in the same time, pushed to take a walk or hang out in the garden. But you can also write or listen to the music. There's no body stone at all here, so your relaxation is purely mental, and has a lot to do with happy vibe it provides throughout.
You quickly lose a sense of time on that one, and head flight is common. This lets you poke your mind a bit, build new connections, think about things or just enjoy the beauty of the world, which this sativa reveals with grace.
High lasts about 2,5-3 hrs and finishes with no comedown at all. She just lets go gently, and you can immediately start doing whatever you wanted without being buzzed. Taste is of incensy/spicy/lemony kind, and while the bud loses flavour after a few years, the high keeps up to 3 years after harvest if stored properly!
What else is there to say? If you wanna try a real sativa, go for Jarilla de Sinaloa!
