I believe as more and more states either decriminalize or legalize marijuana we will eventually see it removed from Federal Scheduling laws.
As it stands, it is 100% legal to be prescribed "Marinol" (synthetic-THC) in all 50 states. It is even Schedule III, meaning you can get refills on it and you do not have to provide identification on pick-up, whereas in some states you are required to do so with Schedule II prescriptions.
It's only a matter of time before marijuana is not just decriminalized at the Federal-level but also legalized in a similar manner to alcohol.
I agree, and it's how it should be.
