Nevada has seen millions of dollars in cannabis sales since they launched their legal cannabis market last year, opening recreational sales to the public.
According to one cannabis advocate from the Nevada, it's suggested that as much as 60 percent or more of exchanges involving cannabis are still taking place on the black market.
The price of cannabis varies across the United States, but in Nevada it's alleged to cost roughly $10/gram or more, compared to about $7+ in Seattle, $11 in Chicago, or $18+ in Washington.
The reason that consumers might be seeing higher than usual prices once their communities embrace legalization, is thanks to high taxes and various regulatory costs that cannabis entrepreneurs must endure in order to get their product to the market and into your hands.
"Legal Dispensaries" Vs The Black Market
Sure, some might want to gain more insight into the cannabis market and have in-depth conversations with their budtenders, or they might prefer to make a selection from a wide assortment of products at a dispensary versus a usually much smaller pool to choose from with their local dealer. Dispensaries nationwide are going to see booming success in the cannabis market, but it's likely that there will always be many out there who still just want the cheapest option and the most convenient option and it's clear that for many they are still having their needs met via the black market.
Options, Options, Options,...
One new product that's expected to hit the shelves soon at dispensaries in Nevada will be a non-alcoholic cannabis beer that's known as two roots.
This beer (pictured in image above), founder Kevin Love admits, will leave the consumer without any hangover and it's ideally going to provide an appealing alternative to cannabis edibles that many in the Vegas market will no-doubt venture to try. The cost? it's expected to cost roughly $5+ per can.
Other than cannabis beer, you can find a wide variety of cannabis products coming to market these days, everything from topicals and pre-filled vape pens, to bath bombs, gum, pain patches, a wide variety of edibles, and much more. One product that's said to be playing a major role in driving the success of the cannabis market is CBD.
The team behind the new cannabis beer, Two Roots, hope that they have created something that will entice many to adopt the product and perhaps it'll prompt some individuals to venture into the market in a new and easy way that otherwise might not have considered it.

@doitvoluntarily ahhh yes... Callin up your guy vs going to a dispensary lol.. You definitely present some good options. While personally, I love the options of indicas, sativas, drinks, vape pens, edibles, etc... There's nothing like having a guy that will come, smoke you out, and even throw an extra g or 2 of a new strain he wants you to check out lol.. Since I'm not from a legal state, I see dispensaries as like field trips. Get a couple friends together for a vacation, check out a few dispensaries and enjoy the many options. Hello how are you? the black market not only sells cannabis, you can get everything you want and it is forbidden, it is surprising how more and more people come to this market to get what they want and with much easier delivery without having to walk a lot. the black market by people who use it
As the government gets involved and adds its taxes, you can expect inflation for sure. People who smoked before will just have to pay higher prices in order to not have to sneak over to that shady guys house to get their reefer!
With my love of beer, I REALLY want to get into the brewing of CBD and THC beer but the thought of dealing with the government for alchohol and marijuana just makes my head hurt.

always going to exist the black market is something that can not be controlled, and those are the people who do not have an order to buy the cannabis and go to the black market I have always said that the state has to have and take better control with cannabis

If they really wanted to get rid of the black market they would lower the taxes to the point where dispensaries can easily under sell and probably have a better product than their, shall we call them shady competitors?
