New Study Investigates Cannabis Treatment For Children With Epilepsy

in #cannabis8 years ago

Researchers up in Canada are looking to launch a study that will investigate the possible benefits that could be derived from using cannabis as a treatment method for children with epilepsy.

Many doctors, not only in Canada but around the world, have been increasingly turning to this plant in order to offer remedy for the children and help to raise their standard of living. There are a number of health experts around the world who increasingly advocate for the benefits that can be derived from cannabis. There are many doctors out there today who believe that this plant can help to boost the quality of life for many individuals, suffering a variety of illness and disease.

There are a number of children who suffer from epilepsy, who undergo many seizures throughout the day. According to a number of doctors, it has already been found in a number of cases, that cannabis helps to relive those seizures for those children.

The new study being launched in Canada is a cannabis oil study and it's going to be conducted with the main objective of analyzing how concentrated cannabis oil might provide remedy for children with epilepsy. They are looking to include at least 30 children in the study who are between the ages of 1 and 10 years old.

To watch a child have to go through a seizure is a very painful and emotional experience, one that no parent wants to witness for their child. When it seems like there is nothing left to help these children, and no options for them to turn to, it's amazing to see a plant that has been around for thousands of years be able to provide any sort of remedy to them.

It is possible to purchase CBD oil which doesn't contain any THC or psychoactive component (which gets you high), so it's no surprise that there are many parents out there who are willing to try this natural substance for their child, rather than choose to watch them suffer.

Yea they are about 5-7 years late to the party, but heck when it promotes cannabis as a cure and not a danger.......well more benefit than risk.
