I will copy and paste a little snippet here from another post reply I made:
There are a multitude of ways to meditate. Adding in a simple mantra or just using om will help you to regulate your breathing. There are great om chanting meditations on YouTube. I simply try to keep my brain engaged in something as I stay medicated all day everyday.
Do not fear your sensations and relate it to lack of oxygen. Most of the initial responses that we feel when we inhale cannabis are in relation to the irritation to lung tissue, which may or may not cause an abnormal feeling/pain in the chest. As the cannabinoids course through our bodies we have an increase in heart rate but at the same time we often see a drop in our blood pressure. This is known as an inverse correlation meaning there are 2 responses going in opposite directions. Because of this we may feel anxious or unsteady. This can be uncomfortable for some while others hope for these effects. The consciousness can become very focused and react in unusual ways, so much so that we can become transfixed on a thought, leading to physiological responses. Example: You get high as hell and you begin to think I am feeling light headed, OMG I can't breathe! So you start into rapid breathing which you focus on and try to control. Breathing is an autonomic response and you should not try to control it. If you feel like you are not comfortable at this level I would recommend not smoking as much initially. Take one hit and then wait it out for 30 minutes.
If you have any questions about cannabis feel free to respond to this or stop over by my page and leave a comment. I will get back to you. Good luck and enjoy the flower of life my friend.
