You may have noticed that cannabis use affects your dreams. You think that you imagine that? No, you do not, because cannabis can affect your dreams, especially if you stop smoking or do not consume for a long time. And even during or just after consumption, confusing, exceedingly clear, beautiful and exciting dreams can arise.
Cannabis improves the quality of sleep
Cannabis is known to improve our sleep quality. And maybe one or the other consumer can confirm this. So many a joint in the evening leads to an improved and deeper sleep. Of course, it also depends on the variety, after all, there are also cannabis varieties that have a stimulating effect. If you have problems falling asleep, a joint could help you. And indeed, many individuals who have been diagnosed with sleep disorders report how helpful pre-sleep consumption is. Described is a relaxed, deep and restful sleep.
Many varieties of cannabis can improve sleep. For example, here Bubba-Kush should be mentioned, a well-known Indica variety. She is known for a relaxed intoxication and that you can relax after spending hours quietly on the sofa. The variety Blue Mystic, also an Indica variety, can be pleasantly relaxing. So, these varieties are mostly for relaxation and to get a deep and restful sleep. And what about the dreams? Does cannabis use really affect or do we just imagine it?
Cannabis and the dreams
Those who find that their dreams change after consuming cannabis or are different during a break are not imagined. Strong consumers report that very bizarre and vivid dreams occurred during a cannabis break. However, just as many report that they can not remember the dreams the next day. Both are possible. But why does that happen and why does cannabis affect our dreams, especially in the smoke-free stages?
Many people believe that cannabis influences their dreams and above all they believe in the so-called REM phase. Grass reduces the REM phase and thus the dreams. Anyone who stops smoking promotes the REM phase, or the effect of this. This means that the dreams become much clearer during a break. However, there is not enough evidence to really confirm this theory. It could even be that this theory is not true at all, after all, in the field of dreams is not even rudimentary everything explored. Some studies want to prove that the REM phase is suppressed, others want to prove that it is stimulated. In addition, many studies in this area are long outdated, except that there are just 6 pieces of it.
But if the REM phase has nothing to do with the crazy dreams, why do they arise?
Crazy dreams due to a deprivation?
Unpublished studies now want to prove that the crazy dreams could have to do with a deprivation. Sleep is very strongly influenced during consumption, intensity, duration and other factors should be mentioned here. A parallel is drawn to alcoholics, who also have to fight during a deprivation with insomnia and constant waking up or wild dreams.
Cannabis users have no dreams?
So are cannabis messing up our dreams? Well, there is a study by Roehr that deals with the weirdness of dreams. Who wakes up from the REM phase, who remembers exactly his dream. Anyone who oversleeps the REM phase and only wakes up after that can no longer reproduce the dreams. Anyone who consumes cannabis usually sleeps through the REM phase and can not remember their dreams and also not having any of them.
However, one would have to do more studies to confirm this theory. However, most consumers do not care if and what their dreams are. Many are even glad to dream nothing.
Great information. I had to stop smoking because I retired in the philippines. My experience with dreaming was that they were very vivid for a few months but then mellowed out. I enjoyed many of them buy i would much rather have an indica sleep. It’s interesting that there are not enough studies yet. Thank for the read. I will follow.
thanks for following and reading my article :D

Today, as I keep reading about marijuana, I feel like I should start using the plant. :)
Read my blog about Marijuana and Nepal if you might like it.
It's worth a shot! It's very beneficial for many people.
I did in earlier few occasions. Not liked much. I did tried once very recently, and felt good then :)
Heard and read about its benefits!
Repeated Nightmares as a Child
seems to have blocked my ability to remember dreams. The only time I remember my dreams these days is after a month or so of using high CBD cannabis.
CRAZY weird for me to wake up remembering my dreams. Decades of only waking up with an echo of the strongest emotion of my dreams, without any memory of the content of it.
This is true for me also. The dreams are complete gone and I sleep very deep.
yes it is strange if a hyper realistic dream hits in after a consuming break ^^
Great topic you chose. I have to read this properly but now i have to go.

Hallucinogens in general tend to make you more psychic. LSD and Marijuana are sister drugs. This is why you have more lucid dreams. Of course I agree with others posts here is probably is quite dependent on strain. But lucidity and acute dream control / dream memory can be obtained from the stimulated pineal gland activity.
LSD and Marijuana are sister drugs?? @steempunkradio no they are not! Also the dreams/nightmares only come when you stop smoking.
