Misery Loves Company...Don't be Misery, be a Dude!

in #cannabis6 years ago

We all have bad days. It is bound to happen. The choice we have is how we deal with it. Do we put on out big boy or big girl pants, suck it up, and make the best out of the rest of the day? Or do we stew and boil in whatever little problem is nagging at us? I mean let's be real, most of our issues are pretty small, or what I like to call first world issues.

Now don't start hating yet... there are some really big issues that people face that can seriously have effects on their mood and the way they talk to other people, believe me, I know. When I am down, I have a tendency to take it out on others, completely not meaning to in most cases. But I try to reflect on my attitude and realize that my issues are not the other person's issues and I shouldn't make it their's. Most people don't think this way and poop their negative energy all over you anyway.

In my line of work, I deal with people, that is my job. I fix people, more than I fix computers. Because most of people's technical issues are their fault! But because of their ignorance, which is not necessarily a bad thing, they let it completely ruin their day and they want to take it out on you. All that does is just bring that negative energy flow to me, and I do not want your negative energy. So, if you jump off at me, and I all of a sudden change my tone, you know you need to check your self, because you are about to WRECK YOURSELF!!! Your problem is not mine! Period!

Just kidding, I am a pretty laid back dude that smokes allot of herb, but I will beat an ass if needed, lol. I am old school that way.

Anyway, what do I do when misery wants some company? I hit a bowl, or dab, whichever is most available at the moment, take a deep breath, and just power through the negativity and try to balance it out with some positivity with something like, "you know, if this is the worst thing that happens to you today, you are still doing okay..."

I mean, we have to take our problems in perspective. Is this something that is just an irritation, yet fixable? If so, don't be an ass to the person you are calling for help. They are trying to help you, so quit pissing on them!

When you are a 'negative Nancy' or a 'Debbie Downer' all the time... people quit caring about your problems. Why? Because you always have some kind of problem. I mean if you are not sick and dying, or losing everything you have, then you are still doing okay, so get over it. That happened to me in 2017 after Hurricane Irma. And yeah I was down for a bit, but just long enough to feel rock bottom and get my ass up and get out of the position I was in. The whole time, have to stay positive for work, and just for my own sanity. But I would get customers that just because they don't know how to properly work a computer, take their frustration out on me, while I have to have a smile on my face and absorbing your negative energy.

Point is, even if you are having a bad day and nothing is working out for you, it's only your problem, not everyone else's. Please don't make everyone else miserable just because life is taking a poop on you, which if you sit back and think about it, are your problems really that bad? Most likely they are solvable.

What does this dude do? This dude looks at a problem, and either faces it head on and finds an awesome solution, most likely after hitting a dab to chill out and clear the head, or just says, F*ck it, hit a bong, and keep moving on.

So don't be a turd and take your problems out on everyone else, especially people that are trying to help you. Life is all about perspective, so what you may think is a major issue, may be really minor to the person you are talking to.

So, just remember to take step back and look at the big picture. Do you have a place to live? An income? Fairly healthy? Food? If you said yes to all of these, then you are still doing okay, just saying... If life throws you a lemon, squeeze that thing and make a lemon drop martini! (I used to be a bartender, lol).

Anyway guys, you are all awesome and need a cookie! If you don't have someone to give you one, grind up some herb and get some cookie dough, lol! If you liked this post, please give it a vote and follow for more dudely wisdome!

Sorry for the rant, today just kinda hit my goat... But it's cool, I have some awesome agent orange dabs waiting for me after work!

Being constantly misanthropic, cynical or pessimistic takes a toll on the people around you.
They have to absorb what you project, and if all your projecting is negativity that's a they'll see you as.

They'll start avoiding you after a while, they'll pick and choose what to say around you, they'll quarantine you in a sense.

Not because they dont like or care about you, but because the constant negativity you're forcing into them is beginning to destabilize them in some way.

They keep their distance to protect themselves, and they'll put you in a little bubble of lies to protect your already delicate and jaded feelings

Unfortunately most people have terrible memory and consistently lie, change the subject and loose focus on the point ignoring the question.
