It's going to be interesting to see all of the medical/health benefits of cannabis that are found over the next few years. Let's just pray that the government and their big Pharma cronies don't monopolize the market or force we little folks to only use their products.

Thank you ultratrain. There are many obstacles to overcome before genuine CBD products with nil to negligible (less than 0.3% THC) become widely and freely available.
Even though that formulation is legal anyway, there is nervousness in many quarters because of uncertainty and lack of knowledge - 'if it looks like cannabis and smells like cannabis, then it must be cannabis '- is the view of many, and they won't touch it until there is Federal Government legalisation.
Also the small independent would be start-ups can't get bank loans, because until there is federal legality Banks are forbidden to lend to businesses involved in anything Cannabis. This restricts competition to big Corporations that are cash rich or have access to private funding.
Similarly with medical Cannabis - (0.3% up to 10% THC)to be prescribed by doctors. But many doctors are reluctant to prescribe because they can't get insurance cover until there is Federal legalisation.
The same goes for recreational cannabis for smoking, imbibing or vaping in states that have legalised it. Until there is national legalisation the cannabis black and grey markets will continue to thrive.
At present, national government allows States to decide their own Cannabis laws, but that has led to what we have - a right can of worms!
