RE: Hemp is weed.

Not to disagree, but Coca-Cola still uses, to this day, coca. It is very easy information to acquire. Yes, they remove the alkaloids from the extraction before adding it to kola nut powder, but none the less the purchase from the Stepan company modified cocaine extract from Peru, the Stepan company imports coca leaves. Congress in 1914 passed a special "Coke Clause" that protected Coke from the outlawing of Caffeine, cocaine and cannabis. They backtracked on the Caffeine. Imagine if they took people teas and coffees! Here is an article written a year ago. It is a vague article but it gives sufficient data for further research if you chose to do so. Furthermore, I never said Coca Cola was infused with cocaine, I said I can't infuse cocaine into a beverage. Coca-Cola buys cocaine and you can't.

Industrial Hemp is a name of a strain. It is Cannabis Sativa just like Night Nurse or something. The only difference is, one is grown to get you high the other isn't. They are both Cannabis Sativa, they are the exact same plants only with different traits. You are right it contains less THC but it DOES contain THC which is illegal. You can't argue around that one simple fact. It is literally the difference between 2 types of apples. They are both apples, and if apple # 1 is illegal than corporate protected apple #2 should also be illegal.

Sort:

Yeah they use coca but what´s illegal about it when there´s no cocaine in it?
Sorry I don´t know the laws in the USA but in my country industrial hemp is legal because it contains too less THC to get you high...

The Coca plant is illegal in the USA unless you have a special* license from the DEA. If you were to have the plant in this country, the land of the free would lock you up. You would be better off killing someone in the USA than have a coca plant.

As far as Hemp is concerned, you are right about the low levels of THC, but there are "levels" of it. THC at any level is illegal in the USA, federally at least. Hemp contains very, very little THC but, non the less, it does contain it. So if it be called illegal, then it should be illegal for all.
