Teachers they said are role model but what kind of role model, is it positive or negative role model. You can not just be a mediocre teacher, good teacher is not even enough, you need to aspire to be more than superior teacher but a great teacher. John Maxwell said ‘’the height that great men achieve was attained while their mates slept’’. For you to stand out among other teachers you must pay a price because’’ every rise has a price ‘’Talent is a gift of nature but mastery is a product of nature what I mean is that you must:
Do your work well
Admire and respect successful people
Deal with spirit of complicacy
Daily self development (things keep running everyday, ` run with time).
Looking for shortcuts is a mental illness, it has killed most dreams.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITY OF A TEACHER
Teachers play vital roles in the live of the students in the classroom. Teachers are best known for the roles of educating the students that are placed in their care. Teachers roles include:
Teaching Knowledge : The most common role a teacher plays in the classroom is to teach Knowledge to children. Teacher are given curriculum which they must follow. This curriculum can be break into weeks, which he must follow throughout the session. Teachers teach in many ways including Lectures, small group activities and hand – on learning activities, Play away method, excursion trip etc.
Creating classroom Environment : Teachers also play an important role in the classroom when it comes to the environment. An environment set by a teacher can be either positive or negative if the students sense, that the teacher is angry, students may react negatively to that and therefore learning can be impaired.
Role modeling: Teachers typically do not think of themselves as role models, however, inadvertently they spent a great deal of time with their teacher and therefore, the teacher become a role model to them this however can be positive or negative depending on the teacher. Teachers are to care and love their students, the future should be very important to the teacher rather than what his going to get from his student now.
Mentoring: Mentoring is a way a teacher encourages students to strive to be the best they can. This also includes encouraging the students to enjoy learning also listening to teachers build confidence and help them to be successful.
Sign of Trouble: Teacher are taught to look for signs of trouble in the students. When students behaviors change or physical signs of abuse are noticed, teachers are required to look into the problem. Teacher must follow faculty procedures when it comes to this.```language
