I'm using tiktok for a while now and just like 10% of what I see is really just fun things, memes, or really interesting people talking. But the algorithm learned that I like raging, controversial and kinda pessimistic videos. Yes, I do enjoy those - that's how our brain works - but only for a limited time.
Instead the algorithm never stops to feed you that content, and you end to get caught into a downward spiral of the same bad content that unconsciously keeps you engaged but ruins your liver at the same time. Luckily I'm able to notice when it's harming me and shut it down. Too bad I have to use it for my music career, so I can't erase it for now...

The thing is with music, it's very marmite in nature. Whereas with a vehicle, everything is up for debate - the manufacturer, the powertrain, the audience (e.g. Honda Jazz is stereotyped as "The Pensioners Car" for absolutely no reason whatsoever) and if by some chance it's an older brand now owned by a company from a different country, it can really stir things up, even if the cars are really well made and good value for money (and keep getting better)
Glad your built-in early warning system lets you know before you get too far down the rabbit hole, it's not an easy thing to build up, is it?

No, it's not easy to get that kind of awareness. Maybe I've got it because I have so many things to do that after a while scrolling with no purpose I realise I'm wasting my time. Lucky me uh?

P.S. I bet your mum is a real speed demon in her Honda Jazz, lol! I've never seen or experienced one driven so fast until I stepped in the Sport Jazz with Ben driving it. Also, it's proper JDM having a Jazz - they call it the Fit over there! 😀
