I have always loved horses (it took 18 years but I finally got my own). I used to go down the fields every day to visit some ponies. They started trusting me and one day, I took it upon myself to get on one's back.
Later, the farmer told me they were unbroken, semi-wild ponies and weren't safe... I doubt it would have made any difference if he'd told me to keep away. I wouldn't have.
One or maybe two times in my life, I've been to a racecourse. I wasn't there for the betting, I went to look at the horses.
WRONG WAY!
So today, @s0u1 and I are on our way to the classic racecourse of Goodwood. Not for the 'ponies' (although there will undoubtedly be some there - 70 years of Ferrari means there's going to be lots of the prancing black one at least), we're going to work. @s0u1 applied to be marshals for this weekend. We've done this before and though it was hard work, it was an enjoyable weekend.
No, this weekend, we're going to the Festival of Speed and I'll try to post, but I promise nothing.

No horses there this weekend, only horse-power. Goodwood is home to famous race tracks for both though :)
