Oooh, been meaning to drop you a message. Just remember now, thanks for supporting the crowdfunded Datsun 280zx project, wanted to say thank you!
That being said, the 240sx definitely didn't fuck around, the KA24 engine was definitely a contender and more so when turbocharged. We actually don't get either of those in South Africa, we get a 200SX here same as both and has a CA18DET engine
You're welcome for the vote. I know you'll share some awesome shit with the project car.
If the Google results were accurate, apparently a '93 240SX was around $16,000 and Prelude SIs started at $21K USD. In 1993 for a Honda that was insane.
Urgh, Prelude is considered a hairdressers car and for that kind of money back in 1993 I would much rather have had the 240SX or even an MX5, not exactly in the same league with regards to design and power but fun factor would be up there!
It really is crazy how prices of the 180/200/240 have all shot up in recent years due to drifting and other motorsports
I had a 93 240SX, the pic I have as my background photo has a little bit of the side window in it lol
Aside from the A4, and the integra ls, my 240SX was the fastest car that I owned in Hawai'i. eBrake and RWD made for some pretty intense trips to the beach hehehe.
I believe the 300zx or also known as the Fairlady Z and the GT-R has the same Super HICAS tech. Cool peace of tech that a lot of 90's Nissan owners are completely unaware of. What happened to 4 wheel steering? is it still in use?
In a land of FWD Ford Probes, Mazda MX-6s, and Honda Preludes, the 240SX* did not fuck around!
*same thing as the 180SX, but sold in the US
