RE: A month with the Maxus T90EV Pickup

in #cars3 months ago

I could tell you absolutely loved it and today we were rather challenged because our local dealer is doing a crazy deal on these for around £323 per month. We've never considered a pick-up before as our use for it is perhaps not the conventional one, we wouldn't use it for commercial purposes such as landscape gardening or something! We could make great us of it as a leisure vehicle, to cart our bikes and boats to different places.

Can you fit a roof rack on it I wonder? One of the kayaks is around 10ft long.

These vehicles need their own dedicated dealers, I reckon, people who care for the product and that estate cars still have their place. We've got an EV4 as a loam car at the minute, it's great but we've not been able to carry boats or bikes due to it being much smaller.

Looking forward to the heated gilet review!!!

Hi @nicklewis - do you have the MG4 on loan? We had the X-Power version, and Ben loved it.

As for the T90EV, Thule make roof racks for them, and they can carry up to 75kg, so it should be ideal for your kayak.

Annabelle 😊

OK thanks, that’s handy and yep the loan MG4 we’ve got for the moment is the long range I think. We managed to drive from here in Berkshire all the way to Llanberis not so long ago.

Wow, that's a goodly distance! Do you head up to Yr Wyddfa often?

Annabelle 😊

Ah yes, I find it easier to call it Snowdon!!! We’ve been a couple of times in the last few years but not often… might sneak up there in 2025!

So do I, to be honest, lol! Sounds like a solid plan for next year, though. I haven't been for many moons now (thanks to nerve damage from my electrocution injury, I haven't been able to go hiking)

Ben and I wish you and yours a Very Merry Christmas a Happy New Year. 😊
