This is so cool! I know pretty much next to nothing about engines, but your post has changed that a little bit. I´d like to learn more about it, i don´t like being at the mercy of garage guys :) Also, i am absolutely loving that car!

Oh please feel free to ask me anything. Most things I should be able to give at least some advice on without taking too long. Garage guys are merciful gods or merciless cockroaches - mostly the latter so caution is advised as you rightly said :).
I'm actually thinking about throwing together a separate blog post just on planning and building the engine and why what works how because I didn't have a clue about any of that before I started building it and learned A LOT in the process.
