On August 3, 1924 Bugatti introduced the new model Type 35 and it became the most successful of the Bugatti racing models. It Won over 1,000 races in its time including the Grand Prix World Championship in 1926 and set 47 records in two prior years.
Without a doubt it is one of the legends in motoring industry. And now, the Argentinian carmaker Pur Sang started building them again.
Photos were posted from awtoweek. Take a look in the gallery, It is worth it.
This piece of art has a handmade single overhead cam, 2.3-liter, supercharged straight-eight engine. All the body panels are handrolled and and every square-headed bolt was made by hand just as they were in the 1920s.
It was recently reviewed by Chris Harris on top gear.
You can own a piece of automotive history for "as little as" 250,000 $, It will take some more steeming to do :)
It sends shivers down my spine when I think about getting into an accident with it...certain death ;) great post @noperope
It is a sin thinking about destroying a piece of art :)
There is one of these parked in our bus station.. I was thinking of taking pictures of it as i walk by every day pass it.. Its yellow though. Do you know how much one of these old buggaties will cist nowadays?
Cheers and all the best from me 🍻
Goldie
Original one? In 2014 it was sold for 3 million USD. This one, replica 250k $. In other words one kidney :) I can still drive it with one
Woooow.. Well il take a picture tomorrow and share it here.
I would love to see it
I love how they attached the reserve wheel with leather stripes.
I guess we'll have to do much more steeming than just a little to get this beauty :)
If you are riding in this machine you are definitely king of the road. It's funny how things move in cycles, the car designs modernize and modernize but then eventually we jump back and extract from old designs. A good example is the Mustang GT, that is my dream car! This rebuild is definitely awesome as well but I never think I will get enough steem to run it ,)
It is a little pricey :) For me I will always prefer classic car shapes than newer modern cars. I think now days everything started to look similar. Don't get me wrong, today also you can get some great designs but nothing has the same "soul" as the classics.
Yea I agree with the fact that much is starting to look very similar. What you mention about soul is so true, and it applies to many things these days, music, cars, movies .. The list goes on. Everything is so broken down these days and the only things that matters are numbers and units sold at the end of the day and creativity and soul is thrown to the side.
Especially music. And while we are on it, my all time favorite:
cool, man he is probably one of the best guitarist of all time. True original !
Wow beautiful pictures :-) I'm sure all car fanatics are excited that it's back in the market again , with a unique design and I'm sure more power in it .

Cool old car :))
Nice car!
Thanks for sharing! It's interesting!
It is a gorgeous car for sure. So crude by todays standards, you certainly need to pay attention while driving that car and not worry about the radio or your cellphone.
No radio, if someone is lucky enough to drive it he should listen to the sweet sound of this straight 8
Beautiful car! I've always loved classic racecars, they are amazing pieces of history. Wow a straight 8, I haven't seen one of those in a long time. Thanks for sharing!
sweet
