1999 Plymouth Prowler 3.5 V6
Is it the weirdest car of the year 1997 ???
The Plymouth Prowler aka later the Chrysler Prowler is a
retro-styled production car and it was on the market from 1997 to 2002 by DaimlerChrysler. As some of you know its all based on the 1993 concept car .
But Before we got into a more depth of History lets have a look some facts :
aluminium pistons and heads
aluminium body
3.5 liter high-output SOHC 24-valve aluminum V6 producing 253HP as this is a 1999 model
Prowler Purple as the standard colour
This car has a 50-50 weight distribution thanks to a transmission which is located at the rear of the car and joined to the engine by a torque tube which rotates the engine.
Same like in a C5 Corvette or Porsche 944
So back to the history
The Prowler was the first rear-wheel drive Plymouth since the 1989 Plymouth Gran Fury.
The body was produced in Shadyside, Ohio,
and the car was assembled by hand at the Conner Avenue Assembly Plant (CAAP) in Detroit, Michigan.
The car back in time were sold around $38,000 !!!
Guess what???
The one that I have managed to photograph is around the market for somewhere $44,000 depending on the condition and year of the model.
They also comes with a matching trailers thats beacuse the boot is so small that actually you wouldnt fit a thing but this is a HOT ROD so in my opinion ,not so important :D
And yes its a got a few things not sorted out properly and benefits from the Chrysler PArTs BiN but this in order to keep the cost down so in a way understandable .

Nice post
Thanks 😉
The Plymouth prowler was $38,000 in the United States back in 1997. @briandenver Please edit your article to get the decimal point in the correct location. A lot of these prowlers came with a crappy automatic transmission that reduce the performance. If you were to put a modern transmission in one of these it would be so much faster.
Don't forget to follow and a phot thanks Brian in Colorado. I prefer the Dodge Viper a 1997.
