In Indonesia, the agent holder of the car brand has an association named the Indonesian Motor Vehicle Industry Association or Gaikindo.
BMW Group Indonesia which became one of its members stated, many advantages gained by becoming a member of the association.
President Director of BMW Group Indonesia, Karen Lim said, being a member of Gaikindo further solidified the position of BMW in the country.
"We are members of the association, there are many topics that can be discussed as a union of players in the automotive industry, rather than if we have to move on our own, the voice together will be more heard," Karen said in Jakarta, Thursday 22 February 2018.
Similar disclosed Vice President of Corporate Communication BMW Group Indonesia, Jodie O'Tania.
"We get a lot of information, can share information with other brands.With us being in Gaikindo association, it provides great benefits," said Jodie.
Previously, Gaikindo officially issued its members, Mercedes-Benz Indonesia, related to the non-fulfillment of obligations as members to deposit sales data.
Chairman I Gaikindo, Jongkie D Sugiarto, said, as a member of the association, Mercedes-Benz have the same rights and obligations with other automotive brands in the country.
The rights are among others to issue opinions related to regulations made by the government and submitted to Gaikindo, as well as to participate in the automotive exhibition initiated by Gaikindo.
Meanwhile, the obligation is to pay membership fees and deposit sales data in Indonesia. (art)
