Sorry for not posting in a while... again, I've been caught up in school work and hockey tournaments so hers the conclusion to my skyline posts!
In my earlier topics about the skylines I explained when the skyline came out and there specs and a couple of things u may of or may not of knew! So heres the last two cars known as the R-34 and GTR/R-35.
Let's start with the R-34 the 5th gen skyline it was called the "GT-BNR34" but known as the R-34. The R-34 was created from 1999 till 2002 (That was the year I was born) when nissan created the R-34 they made it shorter from front to rear. It was also the first skyline to have a 5.8" LCD multifunction display in the center of the dashboard, that displays seven different live readings of engine and vehicle statistics such as turbocharger boost pressure, oil and water temperature and more. The specs of the R-34 was a WaterCooled RB26DETT Inline-6 engine with a Twin Turbo Belt Driven DOHC 4 valves driven machine. it had 216.1 ft lbs @ 4400 rpm of torque and a top speed of 249.4 kmh / 155.0 mph. it was clear to everyone that Nissan made a monster when they produced the R-34, The R-34 became the iconic Skyline when Paul walker drove the car in the movie "2 fast 2 furious" which is in the picture down below.
Another cool fact is one of the first R-34s brought into the USA was owned by a cop by the name of Matt who tell you a little bit of why he bought the car in the video below
Now The GTR which everyone calls the R-35 but its technically not called the R-35 because its apart of the GTR line up but its not part of the skyline collection it was baiscaly the older brother of the 1st gen to the 5th gen. The GTR was the newest GTR to come out since the R34 was ended in 2002. The GTR was made in 2007 and was a perfected car, it took Nissan 38 years to perfect the GTR with the specs of a monster it had a twin-turbo 6 cylinder engine. The traditional straight-6 "RB26DETT" engine has been replaced with a new V6 "VR38DETT". Which was a absolute monster on the road it as well had an rear wheell drive train and Horsepower st 600 [608.3PS] [447 kW]at 6500 rpm and 510 lb of torque.
2007 compared to 2018
