Lincoln has unveiled the new Nautilus which features the brand’s new design style that was first seen in the latest Lincoln Zephyr available in the Chinese market.
The Nautilus will be available in early 2024 with the Lincoln BlueCruise 1.2 hands-free highway driver-assist system and an optional 2.0-liter turbocharged hybrid engine.
The car has a flowing, horizontal instrument panel inside that is integrated into the immersive display - the largest in its class.
The new model has a flat-top steering wheel that allows clients to see over, not through the wheel, giving an effect of openness. Clients will be able to enable Android Auto and Apple CarPlay features through wireless connections. Alexa Built-in makes it easy to control Nautilus features and smart home devices with the same voice commands clients are using at home.
The Nautilus has the most standard Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) capabilities and is among the first vehicles in its class with an available hands-free highway driving feature. The car has Lincoln BlueCruise 1.2 that makes hands-free driving more of a human-like driving feel. Moreover it has Lane Change Assist that enables it to perform a hands-free lane change when requested by the driver tapping the turn signal, and it can even suggest if a lane change would be beneficial when following slow-moving traffic. Ford and Lincoln customers have driven more than 64 million hands-free miles with BlueCruise technology on their vehicles in North America.
Two powertrains are available:
- turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that produces 250 horsepower and 275 lb.-ft. of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission;
- 2.0-liter turbocharged hybrid engine (HEV), a total system horsepower of 310 hp, mated to a continuously variable automatic transmission with a 100kW electric motor.
