In a really brief interview with Bloomberg, Apple CEO Tim Cook confirmed that the company has been practising on an Apple car. That isn’t the first time Apple discussed the company’s ongoing job in the car industry.

Cook has explained that the Apple car project as being the combination of 3 different main factors , self-driving cars, electric motor vehicles and ride-sharing. Those 3 things together make the vehicle industry much more interesting again.

Much more interestingly, Cook said that the Apple company is more focused on self-driving technologies and not necessarily the car alone. “We’re focusing on mainly is… independent systems, ” he stated.

So it looks like Project Titan is still very much a happening as Apple needs to find out the technology before considering its marketing strategy.

This section of the interview could also confirm an early on report that the company continues to be focusing on building the brain with the device instead of manufacturing completely fledged cars.

“Clearly, one particular purpose of autonomous systems is actually self-driving cars - you will find others. And we sort of find it as the mother all AI projects, ” Cook explained to Bloomberg. “It’s probably one the most difficult AI projects to operate on. So autonomy is actually something that is incredibly exciting for all of us. But we’ll see wherever it takes us - we are not really saying from a product point of view what we’ll accomplish. It’s a core technology which we view as very important. ”

More recently, Apple got a good autonomous vehicle test required permits so that the company can start examining self-driving cars on the highways of California. So far, the Apple company has been using a Lexus SUV VEHICLE with its own sensors as well as devices.

thanks for sharing

You are welcome! :)

There's something about the thought of self-driving cars that just isn't doing it for me. I trust technology with the menial tasks of daily activity, not with my life though.

Thanks for your comment! I see where you are coming from, but would'nt mind test driving one :)

good post!

Thank you :)
