Hey Steemians, hoping y'all are good and having a positive day. Today I'm sharing with y'all about the man himself and his creation as one of the biggest names in Car Industry to date.

The man's name is Ettore Arco Isidoro Bugatti, he's an Italian born French automotive engineer & designer. He was born on 15th of August 1881 in Milan Italy and had only one son Jean Bugatti who died before him on 11th of August 1939 while testing the new tank bodied Type 57 race car.

Ettore Bugatti came from a family of artist and little did I know that he had one brother whose name was Rembrandt Bugatti. Ettore founded Bugatti Automobile in 1909, the headquarters of the company was in Molsheim, Alsace region which was part of German Empire from 1871 and it wasn't until 1919 when Alsace region was transferred from Germany to being part of France. It's said that Ettore Bugatti always had an artistic way of executing his designs.

First Bugatti car was shown at the 15th Paris Motor Show in 1919, it was the first car with the 4 valves per cylinder to ever be produced. Bugatti enjoyed immense success in motor racing when in 1929 they won the Monaco Grand Prix. Bugattis drivers Jean-Pierre Wimille & Pierre Veyron won the the Le Mans 24hrs race in 1937 & 1939 respectively. Bugatti cars were extremely successful in racing infact it can be said the Bugatti Type 35 race car is the greatest racing car of all time with 2,000 wins.
Racing driver and master engineer Jean Chassagne developed the Bugatti Type 35 which he won the Targa Florio Grand Prix 5 in a row from 1925-1929

In 1930 Ettore Bugatti got involved in the creation of racer airplanes and was also successful designer of motorized railcars named Autorail Bugatti. He was actually a very talented individual until his world got turned upside down with death of his son Jean Bugatti in 1939 who was also a race driver and taking interest in engineering just like his father. He died testing a new car as I mentioned earlier, it was devastating to Ettore Bugatti because right after he became more of a silent boss. Ettore himself died on 21st of August 1947, same month as his son, what are the odds.

In 1963 Bugatti Automobile sold its aero parts company to Hispano-Suiza.
Modern Revival- Romano Artiore acquired Bugatti brand in 1987 and established the new name *Bugatti Automobile S.A.S and built its factory at Campo Galliano Modena Italy and it took 2 years till it released its new first model. Paolo Stanzani & Marcello Gardini were the designers of the Lamborghini Miura and Lamborghini Countach. They came to the new company and produced their first car which was the *Bugatti EB110 GT, it had a 3.5L V12 engine with Quad Turbos and the new 5 valves per cylinder tech which made it 60 valves in total. They produced 139 units of the Bugatti EB110 GT and the most famous person to ever on one was the 7 time F1 Grand Prix champion Michael Schumacher.

The Bugatti brand changed owners again in 1998 when Volkswagen AG acquired it. Giorgetto Giugiaro of Italdesign was put in charge and he produced their first concept after being acquired by Volkswagen. The concept which was the Bugatti EB118 with W18 engine debuted at the Paris auto show and it continued to be shown in Geneva and Tokyo Auto show in 1999. Italdesign and Bugatti then removed its second concept called the Bugatti EB218 in 1999 still at the Frankfurt Motor Show but then it became known as Bugatti 18/3 Chiron in Geneva.

In 2005 Bugatti struck it big again when it launched it new and world famous Bugatti Veyron 16.4, it was a whopping 8ltr W16 Engine with Quad turbos producing a whopping 1001 BHP. This is the car that broke the world speed records because it was a +250m/hr capable car. It held the record for long. I'm a car enthusiast and know it too well, until around 2013 onwards when the Koenigsegg Agera beat the Veyron to become the fastest production car on the planet.

TheVeyron was produced from 2005 until the last of its model the Veyron Grand Sport Vittesse La Finale which was produced in 2015.
In March 2016 at Geneva Motor Show Bugatti launched its latest model The Bugatti Chiron. The Chiron is also a W16 Quad Turbo engine producing a mind boggling 1,500bhp and it's got an insane power to weight ratio 1:1. The Bugatti Veyron has a base price of $2.6mln minimum even before you even customize 1 thing to your specs. The fully exposed carbon body paint job to your liking alone costs $300,000. I know of 1 billionaire who was in Monaco during this years Monaco F1 who got his in maroon blood red and other specs it landed at his house costing a cool $4mln. Below is the picture of this particular car:
