Everyone with a cat does recognize it: a cat sitting on top of your laptop while watching your favorite series or typing an important e-mail. But why do they actually do that?

You might think that a laptop is not so nice, Why do cats do this anyway?
It's not proven scientifically, but In addition they get attention, sometimes negative, sometimes positive. For the cat, it's the way to get attention.
Cats often rub to new objects. They do that to spread their fragrance.

Yeah mostly for attention, they also like to sit in front of the TV when you're watching. Dank.
I've read that cats want to get heat from other objects like people's lab and labtop. My cats like to sit top on refrigerator in order to get heat.

It is what cats do and it is so funny. No different in my house.
They are curious little buggers about anything that new from the outside in. My cat won't lie on my laptop, but I have seen cats do it without the owners there, so it can't all be about attention. My cat loved lying on my laptop bag. They're funny like that.
Laptop is nice and warm also :-)
i think its because theyre all robots and theyre slowly downloading data
