Mother calls him pumpkin cat because when she first got him he looked like a little white and black pumpkin.
He was exclusively an outside cat. But this winter with the temperatures dropping below the teens in Northern Texas we decided to make him an inside cat.
That is due also in part to the fact that he got into a scuff with another animal where he hurt his right left leg in the back. So now he's a permanent inside cat with private Hotel, bathroom, 24-hour feeding and care.
What a lucky cat!
The cat's footpads absorb the shocks of the landing when the cat jumps.
