One of our cats was suddenly 'talking' to my sister endlessly. He was following her all the time that night and kept meowing at her, and we don't know why he was doing that. The next few days, my sister got hospitalized though she's okay now. Maybe cats can smell if you are starting to get unwell inside?
I even read in a book that they get the diseases their owners have (but that goes for all pets, actually). Yes, I fully support the theory that they can smell many things, including disease. Especially cats because they are the most sensitive of all the animals I know.
That's why I often get restless when one of our cats starts meowing as if he wants to tell us something. I always know he really wants to tell us something.
So, always listen to the cats 😊
I hope I remain healthy, but it's really calming to hear your cat/s meowing lovingly to you. Meows and playful bites hahaha

I can't say. I never saw him with others. He runs away from my boyfriend ever since we chased him away from our garden. But apparently he likes me though. 😄
