You forgot about the mad 5 minutes all cats have every day where they chase their own tail up and down the stairs. That unfortunately burns about 75% of their 300 calories per day, so you would need to increase the food intake accordingly.

It will bring the cost up from 300% more than I pay for gas to 310% more, making it even more unacceptable :D
