This was one of the most fabulous events I have catered. It was an 80th birthday for a retired biochemist. The client requested that the meal be heavy appetizers that are easy to manage with little or no use of utensils. The party started with butler passed appetizers of curried shrimp bouchee, spinach and parmesan cheese tartlets, olive and swiss cheese skewers w/ pesto sauce, and fresh tomato garlic and basil bruschetta . The dinner menu comprised of pulled pork sliders w/ condiments of jalapeno, cheese, sour cream, bbq sauce, banana peppers; chicken skewer w/ sweet and spicy bourbon sauce; roasted shrimp w/ curried mango sauce; marinated vegetables; caprese skewers; Italian Meatballs w/ marinara sauce and parmesan cheese; seasonal fruit kabob. Needless to say, everything was delectable and the party was enjoyed by all.
