Where do we go after we die? God wants us to be with Him, in heaven. His Son, Jesus the Christ, paid for our sins by dying on the cross. If it was up to God alone, we would all go to heaven. But we have free will, and we can choose to go where we want. Would we choose to be in heaven with God, or be in hell without Him?
I wonder if most people choose heaven? Some theologians believe that most do not, and go to hell. For example, only Joshua and Caleb made it to the promised land, out of the thousands who escaped from Egypt, by crossing the miraculously parted Red Sea.
The key to where you go is where you want to be in relation to God. Do you pursue God, or do you run away from Him? We all want comfort and peace, but do we see these things as the fruit of a close relationship with God, or the fruit of a close relationship with the world? Hell is not locked from outside. It is locked from inside.
Pray to God to show you the way to Him.
