hello friends of steemit today I come to share information of this peculiar breed of cats
since I had one and I did not know they were so cool
The main characteristic of these cats is that their body is moderately long and substantial; semi robust, thick, with a remarkably rectangular posture; substantial bone structure, full and broad chest; Substantial hips, almost as wide as the chest.
The Bobtails develop slowly, reaching maturity between two and three years. Like the Bobcats, the hind legs of the Bobtails are slightly longer than the front legs, and the feet are large and round and may have tufts on the toes .
Another of the most important characteristics of the Bobtail is its tail, which can be from one third to half the size of the tail of an ordinary cat, and should not extend below the instep. Like the Manx, the Bobtail tail seems to be governed by a dominant gene. The tail is straight and articulated, but can be bent, have stops or be slightly knotted. Bobtails without tail (also called rumpies) are not acceptable because of the health problems associated with a shorter spine.
While the breed is still developing, the breeders say that the Bobtails are playful, energetic and friendly, and possess a keen intelligence to make Houdini-type escapes from enclosed rooms and secured cages. They are very people oriented, they do not demand too much human attention meowing or jumping on available laps.
En la escala de actividad de los gatos (con el gato persa quizá como sereno, en el 1 y el abisinio como animado en el 10), el Bobtail se clasifica como un 7 o un 8. Divertido, amoroso y juguetón, pero no inquieto.
regards!
