In Austria, a kilometer from the border of Czech Republic, in the area of Wullowitz, there is a cozy little inn; Franzosenhof – Gasthaus und Zimmer.

The hosts are super friendly. They spoke German to us, but whenever locals came in, they spoke in a language or a dialect that was beyond my understanding.

Karoline loves cats, and she was ecstatic when the host brought out a mother cat with her two kittens.

The host showed the kids the henhouse and picked eggs for breakfast.

In the evening before bedtime, we met Manfred. He is a lovely ginger cat.

He joined us for breakfast the next morning. The host offered to put him outside, but we love cats and it did not bother us having him at the table.

We only stayed for one night, on our way to Budapest, but it was sad to leave. The host and Martin got a good connection and as we were getting into the car, he called Martin over and gave him some candy. We had a wonderful time staying there and we will always remember it.
