We've had a bit of a lazy day around the Curator Cat household today.
About the most exciting event today was a moth that somehow found its way down the chimney and then was bouncing off the glass doors on the front of the fireplace... frustrating me to no end before the Hoomans noticed!
Anyway, today we revisit a couple of old "favorite cats" from the Hoomans' past: Kramer and Orange.
Kramer and Orange were about as close to "best friends" as any of us have seen with cats. Kramer pretty much "adopted" Orange when he arrived as a three-months old kitten, somehow taking on the role of "parent" to the new arrival, comforting the little guy in his new surroundings.
As Orange grew up and became almost as large as Kramer — who was a large cat — they were pretty much inseparable, except at mealtimes.
They could often be found wedged into a sleeping spot really too small for them, but it never seemed to matter; they always made themselves comfortable.
We have not seen a "cat friendship" quite as close as these two, before or since.
Both Kramer and Orange have since moved on to the great cat bed beyond, but they are still fondly remembered around here.
Hope everyone is having an awesome day!
So precious their bond! 😻
