This is my cat Oliver. He is the youngest of my three, and the only male. My wife and I call him "Ike Turner" because he's skinny but he like to try to boss the girls around like he's this big, bad tom cat!
He's also new to trading crypto currency, can you tell by his reaction to the markets over the last few days?
Now Is Not The Time To Panic
Right now there are a lot of people panicking over the drop in crypto, the wave of selling increased by those who feel like they are caught in a stampede to the exits. Don't be a lemming and jump off the cliff! We had a wild ride up these past few weeks, the experts would call it "Too far, too fast." The milder term is "correction", but not like in the movie "The Shining" where the former caretaker of the Overlook hotel describes to Jack how he murdered his family because they needed "correcting." No, more like a scolding when your mom tells you not to touch the burner on the stove but you do it anyway. Yes it hurts, but you learn from it.
So what have we learned here? Digital currency is wild west type of stuff, markets will fluctuate and more dramatically than common markets. But we aren't common people are we? Those of us in this new market are the pioneers, even if you just started last week know that less than one tenth of one percent of the world population use Bitcoin! Let that sink in for a moment...
This is Pantera (my son named her) . She is older and wiser than Oliver, less brash, and she understands there is HUGE upside to this market, still in its infancy. As I write this, Bitcoin is around $1800, down from over $2800 just a few days ago and Steem is just over 62 cents. Pantera knows how to stay focused on the prize and not get distracted. She doesn't let her emotions get in the way of what she is trying to accomplish.
For those suffering from FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out), this is a huge buying opportunity! "I wish I would have gotten into Bitcoin before it hit $2000"...well now is your chance! All of us on this platform are already invested in Steem, here is an opportunity to inexpensively add to our portfolio and be among those who say: "I was into Steem when it was less than a buck!"
Pantera knows that the markets don't always go in one direction, and that there are great times and fortunes to be made in this fledgling industry. The party is just beginning, don't panic, stay focused and Steem on!
He has definitely been on a bit of a roller coaster, that's for sure. Cheers
well said!! (and oh my God cute cats!!!) Steem on fellow Steemian! ;)
