When i started my account here in Steemit, i had a dream: not only entertain the people here with stories about my life, but also help other cats and animals who are not as fortunate as me.
In Egypt, a lot of cats are homeless because the cats there are mostly not spayed/neutered, and kittens are just left in the streets of the cities. They cannot survive on their, own, they get terrible infections, and die of abuse, thirst, hunger, etc. If they are 'lucky ' enough to survive, they are shot or runover by cars....
There's a lot of good folks in Egypt who are trying to help the cats, by rescueing them, feeding them and getting them re-adopted in Egypt or elsewhere.
ESMA (Egyptian Society for mercy to animals), is a cat and dog rescue center in Cairo, they currently have a 1000 animals in their care! Please check them out on facebook :

They are doing great work, but they are struggling now to feed all their dogs and cats. They need 5000 euros a month to buy food.

Contrary to popular belief, the cat is a social animal. A pet cat will respond and answer to speech , and seems to enjoy human companionship.
