FRIENDLY PERSUASION

Looks like Scary Mary is getting along with Mama but looks deceive.

Mama use to like sitting in this east window until Scary Mary came along and claimed it for herself.

Reason Mary doesn't chase Mama is she's content sitting on the new towel I put down. Believe me if she wanted to sit in her safe box, Mama would be long gone.... The soft towel has persuaded a friendlier Mary ....

If a cat has something in her head then it will happen like that ... :-)

Mama sure is brave. I would love to see her and Mary become friends. Sharing the same space is a good start. : )

That will never happen... lucky it is as good as it is :))

omg #LOL that Pat Boone song in the background while Mary steals the favorite spot of sweet little white Mama.... it's as unsettling as that Simon and Garfunkel version of Silent Night with the newscasts of war in the background!

"7 O'Clock News/Silent Night" is the twelfth and final track on Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme, a 1966 album by Simon and Garfunkel. The track consists of an overdubbing of two contrasting recordings: a simple arrangement of the Christmas carol "Silent Night", and a simulated "7 O'Clock News" bulletin of the actual events of 3 August 1966.

The "Silent Night" track consists of Simon and Garfunkel singing the first verse twice over, accompanied by a piano. The voice of the newscaster is that of Charlie O'Donnell, then a radio disc jockey. As the track progresses, the song becomes fainter and the news report louder. Matthew Greenwald calls the effect "positively chilling". Bruce Eder describes the track as "a grim and ironic (and prophetic) comment on the state of the United States in 1966".

But Scary Mary is increasingly less scary as the Pat Boone song plays on (the way I see it) whereas the S&G song gets increasingly darker as it goes on.
Why do I love that Scary Mary so much... because I don't have to live with her? :)

Scary Mary is a very, very good pet... She is anti-cat social because she is protecting "ME". I am her most prized possession. She is playful, extremely clean, not destructive and enjoys being petted. Just hates other cats.... She has shown signs of making contact with other cats but never gets to 2nd base....🐱‍💻

Ahhhh, the truth is that she loves YOU and hates other cats... #love it!!!

🐱‍💻👍

Well, dang. I can't let go of this one. Sweet little Mama, looking so subdued, and Mary looking so proud and unrepentent here:

Mama is an exceptional cat from the moment I got her. Super friendly to all, playful to the max. Totally non aggressive.... A living example of "LOVE".

What a sweetie!
Someday maybe Scary Mary will learn from her...

That's is what I was hoping at first..Mama socialized Dexter, who grew up without siblings. Scary Mary has to strong of a self identity. She has to be the boss...
