These young Calves have been brought in to feed on Hay. They will soon be transported to another property with softer feed so they can grow bigger. They need to be strong for the long trip , it's 10 hours away. Not having to feed their Calves will relieve the Cows ( calves mothers ) from having to produce milk. Their condition will improve and the will be able to breed again. Conditions have been very dry and hot. Normally the Calves would not need to be weaned until they are older.
Q: Why don't cows have any money? A: Because farmers milk them dry :)

About 8 to 12 months, then they are 450 kilograms.
