But seriously excellent use case here, so much value to be added for all but the brokers. I just worry about any potential resistance in case it starts to upset the apple cart in terms of industry dynamics

Exactly, this is one of those applications for blockchain which just smacks you in the face as a brilliant idea from all angles. In terms of resistance, these guys are wholeheartedly embracing their regulatory duties and are complying strictly- so hopefully there should be no reason for major hiccups. As with any new concept, this will take time to develop and build momentum but I think industry current industry players are more likely to slowly adapt to the new mechanisms given the clear advantages.
Fingers crossed the regulators are feeling reasonable
