THE REASON BEHIND THIS CONTEST:
The 14th of this month makes it exactly the 9th year i lost my dad. He died from accident in 2009. and since then he has always been in my thoughts. i actually wrote a poem for him then though. HE WAS MY HERO, HE WAS MY LEGEND, HE WAS MY BEST FRIEND, HE WAS MY BROTHER, HE WAS MENTOR, HE WAS MY TEACHER, HE WAS MY EVERYTHING.
WHY THIS CONTEST?
I didnt get a chance to celebrate him when he was alive probably because he was always around me, so i didnt know his worth or value not until i lost him. so for my fellow steemians not to make this same mistake. i want you to write a poem about your dad to celebrate him while he is still alive. and if he is dead already, write him a poem to celebrate him and make him know you still remember him. i dropped a post about the incident not long. you can read it here..
RULES
Write an original poem of yours(NOTE: plagiarism is highly prohibited and will definitely leads to disqualification) with the title Celebrating my father ( and then the title of your poem, if it has one.) and use #celebrating-fathers as one of your tags(preferably the first)

I dont know I could touch you heart through my writing but yeah I can write my reality as I lost my dad when I was 1 an 1/2 .😢😢
This idea is great! Simply awesome. Dads? nobody know them. Mums? They are celebrated. Dont get it wrong. Mums do so much. They are nice people. Numerous songs, music, videos, poems and tributes have been made to praise mums. You struggle to find much praise for dads!

Hello @hurlamideh. I have here a poem about my father. I could never forget him for saving me from my mortal fear of the night and the monsters i used to see in my head. Now while this may be inconsequential to a lot of people, it means a lot to me because it was the first time anyone stood up for me against adversary that i was really scared of. It was my first lesson of hero love and bravery. Thank you for giving me this opportunity.
