Yesterday was the important day of the year for me, my anniversary. We complete 29 years of a very beautiful relationship of husband and wife. When I look back I feel time has gone by so fast, but at the same time the journey has not been all rosey. There have been ups and downs, high and lows of our relationship but all said and done it has still been one wonderful journey of life and I would not want it any other way.
It was such a joyful day for me, because my Son has also come down to celebrate our special day. Nothing makes me more happy then having him around. It has been a hectic and tiring week, but all worth it with family being together. His girlfriend has also come to visit us this time.
Yesterday hubby was on a pampering mode. He gave me a beautiful ring as a gift, and morning surprised me with a bouquet of flowers. It did not end there, he also prepared a special meal for the family. One of his Prawns dish is most loved by all of us, he made that and some other dishes as well. Later in the evening we went for a buffet dinner to Crowne Plaza, they have an amazing pool side dining set up. What more could I ask for. I had everything I needed to make the day a perfect one. My Son also showered me with some gifts, in all it was a day of gifts and love, joy and laughter. After a long time all of us got together. I do keep travelling to India often and be with my Son, but hubby due to work cannot, so for him this is a good time with all of us together with him.
Flowers is a very beautiful gift that I get every year from him.
My life makes sense only when these 2 are around with me, if they are around I would not want anything more. Their love is what keeps me going. Though as I said it is not always a smooth sailing, we have our differences, arguments, annoyance with each other and all of that and yet at the end of it we want each other. For me my Anniversary celebration is just not between me and hubby, it is a family celebration, and on this day when we are all together, it makes a perfect day for me.
I made a rangoli in the morning, as a sign of good luck, which I normally do during all celebrations
My Son wanted to get a cake, but that was one thing I wanted to avoid. He was insisting so then we settled down with 1 pastry.

The pool side restaurant at the Crowne Plaza hotel is a perfect place for such celebrations.
The buffet was a very large spread, by the end of it I was totally stuffed. It was a beautiful day with my loved ones, had an amazing time.
