A true friend is one with whom you can show yourself as you are without fear of being rejected or censured, for a very simple reason "It's your Friend!".
In Proverbs 17:17 we can read: "The man who has friends has to be a friend" (Proverbs 18:24). This is undoubtedly one of the main reasons why some fail to keep true friendships

Sincere friendship will not be at risk for reasons of money, or will kill the success or fame of one of the parties, when you love someone do what is necessary to preserve that special bond and the impossible to be by your side when you need

Love is suffered, it is benign; Love does not envy,

In these times we live is not so simple to maintain a friendship over the years, but not impossible either.
