The Alexandrina Library is one of the most famous cultural centers in the world, located in the city of Elshtaby in Egypt. Building. The construction style responds to a contemporary eipcio, simulating the disc twinkling under the sun. The library can hold 8 million books, the main reading room is huge (70,000 m2) and has 11 levels harmoniously cascading. On the outer walls you can see calligraphic inscriptions on the granite wall and the ceiling of the reading room is 32 meters high.

The architects and planners were professionals from Hamza Asociados and the Snohetta studio. The library and the cultural center received the Aga Khan Prize for Architecture in 2004. It occupies the same place as the old library of Alexandria.
