Thanks to @SirKnight for giving me the opportunity to participate in this challenge. I wish all Steemians a happy weekend, and remind them that the Theme of today's contest is Love, Beauty and freedom. So I will be writing on freedom.
FREEDOM
Freedom and liberty are twin sisters. A man is said to have freedom when he is able to exercise his fundamental human rights as enshrine in the constitution of the land. This rights includes amongst others:
Freedom of movement, freedom of religion, freedom of association, freedom of speech. All these rights and freedoms could be denied its citizens by an oppressive governments.
Another angle to freedom is when a person is incarcerated in detention cell or imprisoned either rightly or wrongly for commiting a crime against the state when eventually released, that will be a great deal of relieve and freedom for the person.
When one is extremely poor, his/her freedom of choices regarding to what he/she eats is denied. There are things he/she felt like eating but lacks the purchasing power to buy them, hence he/she settles for what can be affordable even when it is of the poorest quality. There is a popular saying that " A Beggar Have No Choice". This implies that the beggars' freedom of choice is limited, and by implication denied. ( pls. See some images of earned and denied freedoms).
Freedom they say leads to a happy life
