Excellent post gorgeousreney. Loved the commentary on the history of farming in Nigeria. The mistake to urbanise and industrialise at the expense of agriculture, seems to be a mistake which plays out all over the world, again and again.
Mechanisation and improvement in farming techniques can only increase production levels so far - as you have suggested.
Homesteading and barter is certainly a way to increase food production in a Community. Fish farming is excellent too. Even if it can simply replace the harvests we used to get from the sea.
Great post all round. A pleasure to read.
If you are considering joining a Community Gorgeousreney - perhaps you should drop by SteemChurch.
SirKnight!
Thanks a million SirKnight. The pleasure is all mine. I'll definitely drop by.
