I'd like to say that I feel Andrew Torba is one of the true good guys out there. And even though this segment wasn't nearly long enough, he made a number of great points and red-pilled a lot of people.
For those that do not know Gab is moving towards putting its entire platform on the Ethereum blockchain. I would guess that it will look similar to Steemit in the long run, with a tipping system, rewards and the like.
I've been a Gab user and Gab Pro member for months now. And while GabTV, its streaming service, is still very early code it's impressive how much they've built in the time they've been working on it.
The move to the blockchain is a brilliant one and shows they aren't just a bunch of silly reactionaries, but a solid company with a plan and a vision. Good on Tucker Carlson for giving Andrew a three-minute segment.
That said, it's highly political. But, it needs a wider user base to truly be a success. The Daily Stormer retards are going out of their way to destroy it with their SJW tactics.
But that's why @a created the 'mute' button.
Social media like Twitter is a bad form of communication but Gab's 300 character limit is just large enough to get across real points and improve the level of discourse tremendously. We need a good micro-blogging platform to complement the work we do here on Steemit. I see this as truly necessary to build a new community.
And Andrew Torba is publicly taking the brunt of the volleys on our behalf
And just to help the Gab users: Click on the profile of the person you want to mute, and you will find the option there.
"I don't know why the government is standing by and letting this happen."
Neither do I, but I suspect part of it is Trump's isolation from social media engineered by his new Chief of Staff. He claims he didn't know about the Joe Arpaio case until he was convicted, and he saw it on TV. TV! That's really inexcusable.
