I've been resisting the latest push for a war-base-on-lies (again) on Twitter by catching Syria-related tweets from official sources -- big media, major politicians and journalists-- as early as possible (sometimes in as little as a minute so my response would be among the first) and posting messages like this one:
It's not too late to admit the chem weapons attack was done by FSA "rebels" as a false flag gambit to be blamed on Assad as a fig leaf justification for Western forces to remain engaged in Syria after Syria's near complete victory over FSA/ISIS & Trump's prior intent to withdraw.
I usually follow that with a meme of the ancient Chinese military strategist Sun Tzu overlaid with the words "When your enemy is nearly defeated, and final victor is at hand, gas your own people so that nations greater than yours will intervene and destroy you. -- Sun Tzu, The Art of War, Page: Never."
It is clear from my logs and analytics that I am among those who've been targeted for suppression on Twitter:
Most of my posts like the above no longer show in my Analytics Tweets log and appear to have been completely deleted everywhere I've posted them.
My Tweet impressions grew to 40k to 60k per day up until 10 April. Now, on the morning of 11 April 2018, I have barely 6k impressions so far today (daily reset is at 5pm my time) at a time of day when I would normally have racked up 20k-30k impressions for the day.
- My Analytics stats for Retweets, Likes and Replies have been locked down to zero for almost two weeks (an obviously bogus and ham-handed manipulation of data by Twitter). This is happening at a time when I'm getting up to 67K impressions per day and seeing (in real-time) hundreds of Likes, dozens of Replies and dozens of Retweets EVERY day.
The image on the left was from before the 5pm re-set on 4/11/18 and the image on the right was from after the 5 pm reset on the same day. Note that during the reset, ALL data for an additional two weeks of Retweets, Replies and Likes was deleted and are no longer displayed. So, they can and do go back and retroactively trim/truncate exposure data.
In addition to the loss of data and much-reduced exposure (down about 90%, approximately) it can now be as much as 9 hours between Like/Retweet/Reply interactions.
So, there it is, documented-- political suppression, plain and simple, to thwart a voice of peace in a time of war.
I hope I will be welcomed and granted full citizenship here on Steemit as it is clear that this member of the poor, huddled masses yearning to breathe freely will only face an uphill battle on Facebook and Twitter from here on. Please don't send me back into repression. I hope my voice will be accepted on a level playing field here on Steemit. If so, Steemit will have my undying loyalty and I'll sing the Steemit national anthem with as much gusto as the exiled French in "Casablanca" singing Le Marseillaise in Rick's Place.
