Since I'm a Caucasian of Western European descent, I know that automatically makes me a racist, sexist, homophobe but I don't get the whole "Latinx" thing. Is the point to promote a genderless society or have a term that you can identify any gender by? Because of the endless possibilities of "gender identity" and inevitable confusion, I choose to base my pronouns and other gender related terms on perceived biological sex. If I end up being wrong about someone's biological sex, then by all means they should correct me.
